Founded in November of 1987, Environmental Futures began with one goal in mind: To replace all bottled water coolers throughout Illinois with our bottleless drinking water service. Our water centers provide a better, fresher quality of water while eliminating all the bottles and the hassles they create. Moreover, we aim to reduce our clients’ expenses and their carbon footprint by providing an alternative to bottled water coolers. To date, we have converted over twenty thousand bottled coolers to our bottleless water centers.

We have enjoyed our bottleless drinking water system for years now and I still wonder why we ever used anything else. It’s so easy and always there. Never worry about running out of water or stumbling over piles of empty bottles. Don’t even have to have a bodybuilder around to lift the heavy bottles anymore. No more spills on the floor and no more monthly bills. Installation was painless and quick. All this and it is saving us money on top of it!

We weren’t happy with the bottled water service because we have multiple locations and coolers at each of those locations, so the bills became hard to keep track of and eventually got out of hand. We could never tell if the bills were reflecting the total number of bottles used because with so many coolers the consumption varies quite a bit, EFI stepped right in and provided us with the same number of coolers, but all on a single quarterly invoice, and at a price that stays exactly the same quarter-to-quarter.

The biggest problem I have is bringing in something new that my people think they won’t like or want. We didn’t want to change from our bottled water service because we thought we were more than happy with it. Then EFI showed me a proposal and how much money we could save, along with time, labor, space, and administrative money being wasted on the bottles of water.
